Renewable energies are the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel in our world, they offer us the opportunity to move away from fossil fuels and towards cleaner ways of working. Despite the great hope new energies offer, it is very challenging to compete with traditional fuels, so this award recognises companies that have gone the extra mile in opening up the playing field so new processes and fuels can be fostered.
